Ailie is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (CPSP) providing compassionate and evidence-based services to adults in the Forster-Tuncurry region. Appointments can be clinic-based, at home, in the community or via telehealth.

About Ailie, Speech Pathologist
Ailie has over 15 years experience supporting adults with feeding and/or communication disorders. She graduated from the University of Sydney in 2009 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) and is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (CPSP).
Her career has taken her across Australia, including metropolitan and remote hospitals, community health, and private practice. Ailie is dedicated to high quality and person-centred care. Her clinical approach is functional, collaborative and goal-directed, concentrating on real world outcomes. Ailie has a special interest in the management of dysphagia (difficulty swallowing) and neurological conditions (such as Parkinson’s, COPD and stroke). She is a Certified Speak Out provider.
Ailie moved to Forster with her family in 2022. Outside of work she is a devoted mother and enjoys reading, baking, and walking her dog, Molly

Speech and Voice
The production of sounds to express words, feelings and communicate meaning.
Speech Pathology supports your ability to participate in everyday activities and communicate meaningfully with your loved ones.

Language
Language is how people communicate information, ideas and feelings through words. This includes spoken and written words and is supported by other forms of communication including gestures, body language signs and symbols. Acquired language difficulties (aphasia) may impact a person’s ability to understand these messages and/or their ability to express themselves.
Speech Pathology facilitates a shared understanding of your current challenges, communication style, priorities and goals. Therapy can identify the exercises, technology and strategies you need to understand others and effectively share your thoughts and feelings.
